ADULT DOG PERSONALITIES: Please understand that dogs are categorized to the best of my knowledge based on my daily interactions with them. Many do live in dog runs, some are in my home and occasionally some are in foster homes. Puppies are trainable and considered to be Type 1 unless otherwise noted. Allow them the time to adjust and trust! This will go a long way to developing a well acclimated type 1/2 dog.
Type 1 Dog – everyone’s best friend! Dog, cat, kid, neighbor, other neighbor, burglar…all potential friends! Lives to please you and would be happiest velcro-ed to you!
Type 2 Dog – a type 1 dog with some boundaries. May not LOVE other dogs, cats or may be best with older kids.
Type 3 Dog – sometimes the best things come to those who wait… This type of dog needs an understanding/patient adopter that will allow this pup to realize that they are safe and that their new human(s) can be trusted. Once they have been given the time to adjust (Read the Rule of 3’s in adopting a pet), they may blossom into a type 1 or 2 dog. Will need a fenced in yard or very close watch on a leash.
Type 4 Dog – a work in progress, but has so much potential. Will need an experienced adopter and trainer. May need to be an only dog in the home. Will need a fenced in yard.

These handsome Lab mix brothers are looking for a forever home—together. At around 60 pounds each, Aaron and Moses are adult dogs with the sweetest personalities and hearts full of love.
Moses looks to his brother Aaron for confidence and reassurance, and their bond is truly special. They have spent their lives together and are happiest side by side.
These two are the total package:�

Aaron is currently “cat curious” and is learning that cats are simply roommates to ignore, while Moses is already cat friendly.
They are always smiling, always happy, and genuinely a joy to be around. Their easygoing temperaments make them an excellent fit for most households – especially with the least stairs possible. They would enjoy walks or playing in a yard, followed by snuggling at your feet.
Aaron and Moses found themselves on the euthanasia list at animal control after their family could no longer care for them. Thankfully, they got a second chance—and now they’re waiting for the family who will give them the happy ending they deserve.

Alabama is still a work in progress—he’s not quite ready to snuggle on the couch just yet—but the journey with him will be full of heart, patience, and deep rewards.
He’s searching for a hero of his own. Someone who understands that healing takes time and love, and who’s ready to show Alabama just how good life in a real home can be.

Journey’s story started in a pretty scary place. She was found as a stray, ran out of time at animal control, and ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she made it out — and now she’s getting the chance to discover what life is really supposed to be like.
And Journey is coming out of her shell beautifully! She’s playful, curious, sweet, and SO much fun.
She’s also got one very important characteristic we need to mention…
She is BOUNCY.

Meet Rusty!
At 6 years old (born around 2020), Rusty is a handsome Chihuahua looking for a new place to call home.
Rusty may be blind in one eye, but don’t tell him that—it certainly doesn’t slow him down! He gets around just fine and is ready to enjoy all the comforts of a loving family.
Like many Chihuahuas, Rusty takes a little time to build trust, but once you’re in his circle, he loves being close to his people. He’s happiest hanging out nearby and keeping you company. One thing he’d prefer? Not being picked up. Rusty appreciates having his boundaries respected and will reward your patience with loyalty and companionship.
Rusty does well with dogs he knows, especially other small dogs. He was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He came to us with Lucy and Penny, but they do not need to be adopted together.
After losing the only home he’s ever known, Rusty is hoping for a second chance with a family who will love him just as he is.

Sapphire is a 3–4 month old silver retriever mix girl weighing around 25 lbs—and she is pure puppy magic.
Found as a stray and never reclaimed or adopted from animal control, she’s now looking for the fresh start she absolutely deserves.
This girl doesn’t just like attention… she lives for it. If you’re nearby, she’s nearby. If you sit down, she’s in your lap. If you’re moving, she’s trying to keep up. Sapphire is playful, curious, and full of that bright, busy puppy energy that makes everything feel a little more fun.

Saxophone is a 7-week-old male Heeler/Cattle Dog from our adorable Instrument Litter of 6 (4 boys and 2 girls), born in mid-April 2026.
This sweet boy is curious, engaging, and full of puppy charm. He has a wonderful balance of calm affection and playful energy, and he loves people and other animals alike.
Saxophone is currently rocking a cast for the next 6 weeks after breaking his leg, but thanks to his young age, he’s expected to make a full recovery with little to no long-term impact on his mobility. 
Despite his injury, he continues to be a happy, loving puppy who’s ready to soak up all the love and care the world has to offer.
While his past (and cause of injury) is unknown, but his future is bright — especially with a family willing to help him heal and thrive.

Scout is the biggest guy in the Adventure Litter, and he’s ready to find someone who’s looking for a four-legged adventure buddy!
Scout was found as a stray and, sadly, ran out of time at animal control and ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, his story didn’t end there. Now he’s getting the chance to show everyone just what a special boy he is.
Scout is coming out of his shell beautifully and is discovering how much fun life can be! He’s playful, curious, sweet, and FUN. In fact, he’s usually the first one to greet you and the first one ready to play! She is very shy and timid, but importantly—she is not mean. Shy simply needs time, patience, and a kind, understanding home to help her feel safe. With gentle encouragement and consistency, she has so much potential to grow into a loyal and loving companion.

Meet Summit!
~3 years old | ~40 lbs | Possibly the dad of the “Adventure Litter”
Summit’s story is one we wish we didn’t have to tell. He was found as a stray, ran out of time at animal control, and ended up on the euthanasia list. On top of this he has a scar on his leg from what looks like a snare. Thankfully, he made it out — and now he’s getting the chance to show everyone who he really is.
And what we’re seeing so far? A really sweet, playful, curious boy who is coming out of his shell beautifully. And did I mention those super fun ears?!?!
