I want to make the Adoption Process as easy as possible for you… 

1. Browse our Adoptable Animals below (or on our Facebook Page Photo Albums).
   If the pet is still listed as available on Petfinder or our Facebook page…then it IS STILL AVAILABLE – please put in an application/no need to call/email/text to check – this slows down the process and gives us more work.
2. Complete an Adoption Application (<– CLICK HERE) Applications take priority over emails / calls / text / Facebook messages / smoke signals / etc… etc… Then PLEASE WAIT, PLEASE BE PATIENT! I usually call applicants within 7 days of submitting your application, sometimes I am able to call you much sooner. Multiple forms of contact slows down the process. I WILL contact you as soon as I get to your application in order of receipt.
3. I/Samantha will call you to review the process, your application and our adoptable animal(s) with you
4. Video Chat with Samantha – this call will serve as a “Home Visit” with your family, and you will get to see/”e-meet” our animals in an environment they know, with people they know. This will help you get a glimpse into their true personalities and behaviors – they are less likely to act like aloof weirdos or excited psycho-sticks ;) You will match with your pet via video chat. Yes, this does work! PLEASE trust the process, it works!
5. Adopt your new furbaby! (We will go over the finer details with you during #3) but a quick summary: your pet will be put on “adoption pending”, you will be sent a link to pay your adoption fee through ShelterLuv (a secure 3rd party for YOUR security), your transport date will be confirmed (I/Samantha drive(s) every animal to, and meet with every adopter in multiple states).

Please familiarize yourself with the “Rule of 3’s” – this is valid for all species/breeds of animals.

My goal is to adopt out fully vetted animals. When possible (age and amount of time with us may not allow for this), our animals will be:

• Spayed / Neutered / Weathered / Gelded
• Fully vaccinated (Cats: Rabies, FeLV, 2-3 FVRCP; Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, 2-3 DAPPvL, Lyme)
• Microchipped
• Actively on a Monthly Flea / Tick / Mite / Heartworm, etc. Preventative
• Dewormed multiple times
• Testing for animals 6+ months old (Heartworm, Tick-borne Illnesses)
• The adopter is given hard copies of the animal’s veterinary records on adoption day

All Animals are adopted with the requirements of:

• Safe-landing / Return / “Buy Back” contracts should the adoption not work out or an unforeseen emergency arise in the future (2 months, 5 years…)
• Cats are adopted as INDOOR ONLY pets and are not allowed to be declawed!
• Requirements of ongoing veterinary care / proof of routine veterinary care when applicable
• Non-breeding stipulations / proof of spay/neuter/weather/gelding when applicable

Other Info:

Adoption Fees cover some of the animal’s vetting expenses with the rescue and allow us to continue to rescue, rehabilitate, vet and find homes for animals in need. The adoption fees are FAR BELOW the cost of services with a private veterinarian.

Adoption fees vary by the animal’s age, breed, state the animal is being adopted in (transport included in the adoption fee), etc. This will be discussed during the application phone call:

• Cats: $75 to $300
• Dogs: $100 to $900
• Equines: $400 to $4,500
• Other Livestock: varies

Most of our adoptable animals are located in Greeneville, TN. I personally transport to various states twice per month. Regular stops include: CT, NY (southern), NJ (Morristown), PA (various along i-81), MD, VA (various along i-81), NC (Asheville, Charlotte), SC (Greenville), TN (Chattanooga, Nashville, Bristol). Other locations possible. Transport fees ARE INCLUDED in your adoption fees.
