I want to make the Animal Adoption Process as easy as possible for you…

I aim to provide each adopter a “concierge” experience. From our first phone call to meeting each and every adopter IN PERSON, you will only work with 1 person. Trust the process, it works if you let it! I look forward to introducing you to your new furkid! 

1. Browse our Adoptable Animals – click below (or on our Facebook Page Photo Albums)
2. Complete an Adoption Application (<– CLICK HERE) Applications take priority over emails / calls / text / Facebook messages / smoke signals / etc… etc…
3. I/Samantha will call you to review the process, your application and our adoptable animal(s) with you. Please be patient. I try to call each adopter within 48 hours – but sometimes it is up to a week (life happens and the animals’ needs come first). If I do not reach you, I will leave a voicemail, text you and possibly email you to please call me back. Please leave a voicemail if I miss your call.
4. Video Chat with Samantha – this call will serve as a “Home Visit” with your family, and you will get to “e-meet” the adoptable animals in an environment they know, with people they know. This will help you get a glimpse into their true personalities and behaviors – they are less likely to act like aloof weirdos or excited psycho-sticks ;)
5. Adopt your new furbaby! (All adoption fees are processed through ShelterLuv to give my adopters full financial security, transparency – I will not ask you to pay me/the rescue directly. Veterinary records will be uploaded to ShelterLuv and available to you as soon as you process your adoption fee.)
6. Transport (I drive each animal to their adopters) will then be confirmed and hard copies of the veterinary records and contract will be provided in person (in addition to the digital copies in #5).

Please familiarize yourself with the “Rule of 3’s” – this is valid for all species/breeds of animals.

My goal is to adopt out fully vetted animals. When possible (age and amount of time with us may not allow for this), our animals will be:

• Spayed / Neutered / Weathered / Gelded (3+ months old)
• Fully vaccinated (Rabies, DAPPvL x 2-3, KC, Lyme, FVRCP x 2-3, FeLV x 2 – any variations will be discussed)
• Microchipped
• Actively on a Monthly Flea / Tick / Mite / etc. Preventatives
• Dewormed multiple times
• The adopter is given hard copies of the animal’s veterinary records on adoption day

All Animals are adopted with the requirements of:

• Safe-landing / Return / “Buy Back” contracts should the adoption not work out or an unforeseen emergency arise in the future (2 months, 5 years…)
• Cats are adopted as INDOOR ONLY pets
• Cats will not be declawed
• Requirements of ongoing veterinary care / proof of routine veterinary care
• Non-breeding stipulations / proof of spay/neuter/weather/gelding when applicable

Other Info:

Animal Adoption Fees cover some of the animal’s vetting expenses with the rescue and allow us to continue to rescue, rehabilitate, vet and find homes for animals in need. The adoption fees are FAR BELOW the cost of services with a private veterinarian.

Adoption fees vary by the animal’s age, breed, state the animal is being adopted in (transport included in the adoption fee), etc. This will be discussed during the application phone call:

• Cats: $100 to $300
• Dogs: $100 to $900
• Equines: $400 to $4,500
• Other Livestock: varies

Most of our adoptable animals are located in Greeneville, TN.
I transport pets to VA, NC, SC, GA, CT, NY, NJ, PA and surrounding states weekly.
